This is one of a new series of books, "Read and Discover", designed to encourage children to learn about the world as they learn to read. Watch them leap and swing and bathe and play. The ninth book in the Learn with Alex and Anna series Alex and Anna learn about the importance of wearing safety belts when travelling in cars. They experience a near mishap and learn how when driving slowly and carefully, accidents are prevented. They then discover that police officers also care about their safety. Later they witness passengers in a car who aren't wearing seatbelts being thrown around inside the vehicle. The tenth book in the Learn with Alex and Anna series. One evening, as Alex and Anna play in the garden, they are baffled when a strange shape covers them and their toys. Daddy and Mummy then explain about shadows and the sun.
